The ‘Swans’ painting - in two parts- explores balance and connection, inspired by the Greek myth of soulmates (further explained in the research) and the yin-yang philosophy. It shows two contrasting scenes: a black swan flying over water at sunset and a white swan sitting on a tree with the moon behind it at dawn. Light and dark, morning and evening, symbolise united duality. Inspired by Hilma af Klint’s "Swan" series, I tried exploring harmony between love, life and nature. My goal was to create two different paintings that are fine on their own but when they come together, they complete a story, reflecting on the complexities of love and the search for wholeness.
